Benny decides she would rather come with us to Ayers Rock than stay here. She is showing me she fits perfectly in my bag.
Hmm .…… what’s worse white cats or black dogs? They are waiting on their pedestal for their owner to come home and feed them. Their piteous meows echo in the house as they are so thin and frail!!!! ( maybe thin is a bit exaggerated but I *think* I feel the bones if I dig my finger in their sides😊)
Reni is a little stressed as she prepares herself for her return to the Daisy Hill puppy farm
Reni likes rainy early nights. Great excuse to snuggle tightly in her basket.
So helpful rolling up the swag with Dad.
Reni has gone up market to a new cardboard box for a kennel. She is here with one of my 1.5kg dumbells which she reckoned made a good toy. I had to chase her up the back yard to get it off her!!
Reni’s new halti device. She came back from guide dogs on some kind of manic high and was nearly impossible to walk. Now much easier and she has settled back down from sensory overload. She’s a tired little puppy after her walk.
OH! Dear!!!
Yesterday we got the call. Â Caller ID showed it to be from the area of the Daisy Hill Puppy farm. Â Do we answer??????? Â It *might* be good news.
So guess who is back home and been told that she is too “exuberant” for their needs???
Luckily we kept the squeakies and her little face lit up as she upended the box and ran around squeaking madly. Â Have to remember to shut the toilet door as she already stole a roll. Â Had to go and get some bones and treats (not that she deserves them) and she has made herself thoroughly at home,
Today was the big day for her. No more of the soft life-assessment starts now and over the next two weeks. They will contact us then and tell us whether she will be a likely candidate.
I keep expecting her to barge through the doggy door at any moment or hear crazy squeaky toys under my chair.
Reni tried to duck into the vets when we took her to her kennel. Then she kind of looked around as if to say “well, how long this time?” She will be paired up with a buddy to play with once the excitement of all the dogs arriving together settles down. There was much barking and excitement!
